In this sense, a highlighted conclusion was that interpersonal relationships play a more significant role in happiness than the possession of material goods. However, the study also highlighted that lack of money can be a source of unhappiness.
Through interviews with volunteers, neuroscientists determined the amount considered necessary for the money does not become an obstacle to the pursuit of happiness: approximately US$72 thousand dollars per year, equivalent to R$350 thousand reais.
