Noah's Ark Activities encourage children to see the creation of animals and how the creation of the world was developed.
This work aims to:
Read and interpret texts, and then list on the board, with the help of the students, the possible animals that could have entered the ark. Take advantage of the list of animals and work with their respective pairs (male and female). Carry out this activity forming productive groups (doubles) according to the level of each student.
Develop attention, imagination, logical reasoning and motor coordination;
Realize the importance of respecting others and nature;
Improve verbal and bodily expression.
To start the project, it's best to start with the Ark. During the course of the week, make a conversation with the reading of a book about the Ark; make a 3-part Ark puzzle (like the wood being nailed), plus 3-part Ark origami and glue the animals inside the ark (you can ask the kids cut out the animals, but for some students who have no experience with scissors, it is better for the teacher to deliver them already cut out, I thought it was better this time they already receive the animals cut out.
It is important to question children about their relationships with animals:
“Which animals do you like?
If you could save some animals from destruction, what animals would they be?
Would you save the flea, the tick, the spider, the lion etc? Because?"
Tell the story of Noah's ark;
Painting and collage: Painting Noah with crayons and then using cotton to be Noah's beard.
Play a theater about Noah's ark.
This entire project has no religious ties and aims exactly at the contact of children with animals, as well as their habitat, food, and characteristics.
