This word, which first appeared in 2022, gained notoriety in June 2023 after the actor Tom Holland mentioning her in an interview, generating a series of memes on the internet.
If you are skilled at conversation or flirting, you may already have what is called “rizz”. Basically, ‘Rizz’ is an updated version of the idea of ‘game’, defined by skill, cunning and the ability to seduce others with charm.
Among the other finalists for Word of the Year, “Swiftie” is a term used to describe a dedicated follower of singer Taylor Swift.
“Prompt” is the terminology for an instruction given to an artificial intelligence program or algorithm, which influences or defines the content produced by it.
Already "sutiationship” refers to a romantic or sexual relationship that is not formally defined or established.
The word "Disinfluence“, which is the practice of discouraging the purchase of certain products or promoting the reduction of consumption of material goods, especially on social media.
“Beige flag” refers to a personality attribute that suggests boredom or lack of originality, particularly in a partner or potential partner. It may indicate a characteristic or habit that is extremely typical, but not necessarily good or bad.
“heat dome” describes a high-pressure weather pattern that holds over a specific region, trapping a mass of warm air beneath it.
And finally we have “Parasocial” which is a term used to define a relationship in which a person, such as a viewer, fan or follower, develops a feeling unilateral intimacy with a public figure or celebrity, often creating the false impression that you know the famous person as a friend.
