David Abbott recently rented a beautiful apartment in San Francisco. The last thing he would want was to share it with someone, but soon a beautiful and controlling young woman named Elizabeth appears and insists that the apartment is hers. David imagines there has been a big misunderstanding, until Elizabeth simply disappears. He changes the lock on the house, but that doesn't stop it from reappearing, always appearing and disappearing as if by magic. David then becomes convinced that Elizabeth is a ghost and starts trying to help her get to the “other side”. Only she is convinced that she is also alive and refuses to make any crossings.
