Lizards are animals that use environmental heat sources – such as the temperature of the air, the ground on which they rest or direct sunlight – to heat and maintain their body temperature. Therefore, every day, they have to leave their shelters and warm up, until they reach an ideal temperature to carry out all the activities essential to their survival […]. To do all this, they spend many hours outside their shelters.

It turns out that the gradual change in Earth's climate affects the temperatures of these lizards' environments. In the early hours of the day, the temperature is already high. Therefore, so these reptiles do not get too warm, they are forced to return to their shelters early. This prevents them from carrying out a good part of their activities.
