6 SCHOOL ARTS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

1-Class Theme – Shades and colors.

Objective: Provide the discovery of new colors and tones We will start the class with a conversation about the varieties of colors, tones and the diversity of colors that we can get when we mix a color with the other. To better illustrate, we will take works by Cândido Portinari and Van Gogh, in order to show the colors and tones used in the paintings.

With gouache paint and a lot of mixing, we will start our work with the intention of obtaining different tones and colors. With this mixture we will discover shades of blues, pinks, greens, finally creating a variety of colors.

2-Class Theme - Primary ColorsObjective: Explain the origin of colors

The intent of this class is to introduce children to primary colors. We will show the primary colors and explain why they are called this way.
We will explain that yellow, red, and blue are called primary colors, because they are the ones that make up other colors.

Like for example:

YELLOW + RED = ORANGE

BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN

RED + BLUE = PURPLE

After the explanation, we will mix colors in plastic cups and with brushes we will paint a drawing given by the teacher.

3-Class Theme - Crayon Art

Goals:
Provide moments of discoveryFor this class we will present a different activity. We will start the class with a conversation about art and how it happens and soon after we will start the activity. First we will distribute sheets of bond paper and crayons to the students.

Soon after we will fold the sheet in half and point the chalk, thus producing the crayon shavings, we will use different colors so that the work is very colorful. Then we will spread the chalk shavings on the sheet of paper (folded) and iron it (hot) on top, heating and melting the crayons, providing different shapes and colors.

4 – Class theme – Earth and Glue Painting Technique

Goals:
Introducing a different way of making paint with an unconventional material In this class, we will introduce the technique of painting with earth and white glue. We will ask the children to bring some dry earth from the garden or a vase from their homes. We will take plastic cups and mix the soil with the glue, in an amount that has a texture that is neither too liquid nor too thick. We will show the children the different shades of brown that emerged due to the difference in color of the different lands they brought. Next, we will give each child a sheet and a brush and ask them to draw freely with that “paint” formed by the mixture of earth and glue.

—————————————————————————————
5 – Class theme – Painting Technique with Colored Toothpaste with Aniline

Goals:
Exploring creativity using hygiene material to make artWe will ask each child to bring a small tube of toothpaste from home (preferably white). In the classroom, we will put the toothpaste in plastic cups and dye it with aniline of different colors. We will gather the children so that they can use each other's colors and we will hand out a sheet of canson paper, because it is thicker and because the glue is heavier in relation to the other paint. We will ask them to draw pictures using their finger and the paint made from the toothpaste and notice the difference in texture and smell.

6 – Class topic – Foam Painting Technique

Goals:
Introduce a new painting technique replacing the brush with foamWe will explain to children the painting technique using a foam. We show the possibilities of creations made with this material. Each way of using the foam creates a different effect, for example: briefly tapping paint with the foam on the paper, dragging the foam with ink and even creating a different texture using an amount of ink bigger. We will give each child a piece of foam, gouache paint in different colors and a sheet of paper canson and we will ask them to make drawings using the different forms of foam paint that were presented.
