Science Activities 1st year of elementary school! Science is a set of empirical, theoretical and practical knowledge about nature, produced by a global community of researchers making use of the scientific method, which emphasizes observation, explanation and prediction of real world phenomena through experiments. Given the dual nature of science as objective knowledge and as a human construct, the historiography of science uses historical methods from both intellectual history and social history. There are several suggestions for science activities and exercises for the first years of elementary school.
