Affirmative form

Present Continuous Tense is formed by the present tense of the verb to be (am, is, are), followed by a verb plus the ending –ing. This tense expresses an action that is taking place now.

Note> Now, we are studying. (Now we are studying.)

gerund

The gerund is formed, in English, adding the ending -ing to the verb.

play + ing = playing (Playing);

The verbs ending in and lose the and: danceand + ing = danceing (dancing);

Some verbs double the final consonant: run + ing =running (running).
