ACTIVITIES WITH TIME MEASURES IN THE CLASSROOM

Activities with time measures help to time our day-to-day that is moved by hours, divided by morning, afternoon, night and dawn.

One way to measure time is through the calendar. Understand how numbers work in this specific context. Become familiar with a particular way of organizing information, identifying the passage of time based on the calendar.

ACTIVITIES WITH TIME MEASURES

Bring a calendar calendar to the classroom and leave it in a visible place. Explain that the calendar can be consulted at different times: to associate a date with a task, to know the birthday of the colleagues or to remind the class that an outing is scheduling.

Put a calendar on the board and ask students to mark each person's birthday. Make a picture, put the name, birthday and age of each.

ACTIVITIES WITH TIME MEASURES

The calendar is also an important tool to organize the school routine. Help students mark the group's important events and appointments for the year – holiday, organized school events, outings, etc.

Activities such as building an instrument to measure time, before the invention of the clock; Organize the calendar for the month of June 2008; Use various measuring instruments and measure various things found in the classroom.

Explain how the time was initially identified and that the Sun was the first clock, the successive time of the passage of the sun over a given meridian gives rise to the solar day.

Playful activities (games, games, toys…) must be experienced by students. It is important to characterize a link to the student's daily life, relevance in the world in which we live.

ACTIVITIES WITH TIME MEASURES

The teacher must make use of proposals based on problem-situation resolutions in the student's daily life, how to make his/her life easier and how to help him/her to understand the measures of time.
