NAME:
Carnaúba, Palmeira from the northeastern hinterland, has 1001 uses. The wood of its trunk, which measures up to 15 meters in height, is very popular for building houses. The pulp of its fruit is used in the manufacture of a type of flour. Exported all over the world, the wax extracted from its leaves gained fame for being more resistant and having a more intense shine. Fruits such as apples and mangoes receive a layer of this wax before being exported, preventing them from losing water. Carnauba wax is also part of the lipstick's composition, giving it heat resistance, and it works as an electrical insulator in computer chips.
