Chocolate is _________ made from cocoa seeds, a fruit that has its origins in the American continent, probably in the basins of the Amazon and Orinoco rivers. The seeds, after fermenting and roasting, are separated from the husk and ground. The frictional heat of the milling melts the contents of the beans and thus the fat, better known as cocoa butter, and the liquor, a thick, brown and bitter liquid, are extracted.
The liquor mixed with cocoa butter, after it is cold, turns into dark chocolate, used as a base in desserts, cakes and cookies. The bitter medium still has sugar, sometimes powdered milk and vanilla aroma. Milk chocolate has less cocoa liquor, more sugar and milk. The white one, from cocoa, only has butter. By not taking the liqueur, which gives the characteristic flavor of dark chocolate, many sweet lovers do not consider it a chocolate lawful.
