I wrote this book for you, reminding me of the time when I only heard: “Shut up, boy!”, “Shut up, boy!”, “Go to your room, boy, this is no talk for a child !”. And things like that. (…)

If you want to know more about me, I'll inform you that I was born in Santos, in 1942, and have lived in São Paulo since 1961, where I went to college, I was a theater actor, editor, journalist and publicist. But, today I'm no longer anything like that: since 1983 I've only been its writer.
