The Zulu language isizulu is a language of the Bantu peoples and one of the most spoken languages in South Africa (by about a quarter of the population). Do you know what this has to do with Brazil? Our country was the one that for the longest time and in the greatest quantity received African slaves in the world. It is a sad story, but it is part of the formation of the Brazilian population. Most of the slaves who arrived were from Bantu groups. It's true that we don't speak a Bantu language here, but did you know that Brazilian Portuguese is full of words of Bantu origin? Mess, dengo, kid, grocery store and baby are just some examples that we use and don't even notice!
