Read the following text:
The oldest civilizations like the Romans, Egyptians and Persians had the egg (not the chocolate one!) as a symbol of land renewal and used in various rituals that took place at the time of the arrival of the spring. In these rituals, bird eggs were painted and offered to the gods as a request to provide a period of good harvest.
At that time, boiled and then decorated eggs were used to present relatives and friends. This tradition continues in many countries to this day.
With the advent of Christianity, the egg takes on another meaning, related not only to the fertility of the earth, but also to the resurrection of Christ.
From 1830, when the first chocolate factories in England appeared, this tradition gained another flavor and eggs became chocolate. Without a doubt it is a delight!!!
