Text Interpretation: Treasure Island

Activity of text interpretation, aimed at students in the sixth year of elementary school, about the book “A Ilha do Tesouro”. The story begins when a 12-year-old boy named Jim Hawkins discovers the map of an island where there would be treasure buried by the terrible Captain Flint. Will we learn more about this suspense-filled story? So, read the text carefully and then answer the various interpretative questions proposed!

With the death of pirate Billy Bones at Admiral Benbow, his parents' inn, Jim Hawkins, a 12-year-old boy, opened the old man's trunk. sea ​​wolf and discovered, in addition to coins of various nationalities, the map of an island where there would be treasure buried by the terrible Captain Flint

Jim showed the map to Dr. Livesey and Lord Trelawney, influential men of the region. Then they left, on the ship Hispaniola, for an expedition to the island. The crew has, as a cook, Long John Silver, a sea veteran who had worked on Flint's boat. Silver helps them choose the rest of the crew, experienced men, including some of Long John's allies – who, like so many other pirates, really wanted to get the treasure.

From there, an electrifying adventure begins, with fights, traps, bloody deaths, drifting boats, storms, impressive discoveries.

In a plot full of betrayals and many twists, the treasure island it has all the ingredients to keep the suspense going, and it's a classic to read and reread many times – and, most likely, a fountain the series' authors drank from. Pirates of the Caribbean.
