malevolent, a movie released by Disney in 2014, was a great success. The feature, which told the story of the villain of Sleeping Beauty, grossed $758 million (approximately one billion reais) at the world box office, becoming the sixth most-watched Disney remake in history – the first is The Lion King (2019). Due to the success, Disney decided to invest in a sequel to the movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which arrives in Brazilian cinemas on October 17th.
The adventure begins when Prince Philip decides to ask Aurora to marry him, after six years of dating. The novelty provokes Maleficent's anger, who doesn't want to see her “adopted daughter” joining the realm of humans. At the same time, Prince Philip's mother does not look kindly on Maleficent and magical creatures either.
Thus, Aurora and Philip will have to face several obstacles to be together and finally unite the two peoples.
The special effects of malevolent 2 are breathtaking. The main highlight are the scenes in which the main character appears flying. The low flights, full of maneuvers and speed, leave the viewer electrified. To top it off, the production team made great use of the sound of the flapping of wings, which is so realistic. Flight scenes also appeared in the character's first film, but the perfection was not as perfect as in the new production. You'll want to fly with it!
The costumes of the new film draw attention for the richness of details and for the way they help to tell the characters' story. Aurora, for example, appears in one scene wearing a pink lacy dress that goes well with her sweet and lovable personality. Maleficent, in a fight sequence, appears in a long black dress, which makes her look even more powerful.
malevolent 2 introduces the audience to some new characters, such as the parents of Prince Philip, the king and queen of the human realm. In addition, Maleficent comes into contact with creatures that, like her, have incredible powers and huge wings.
