Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table

Arthur was King Pendragon's secret son. At birth, he was entrusted to the wizard Merlin, who took care of his education, but did not tell him his true origin or the fate that awaited him.

Sixteen years later, the king died without an heir. To choose a new king, an enchanted sword appeared, bearing the name Excalibur, embedded in a stone, which read: "He who conquers this sword shall be the king."

Every knight in the kingdom tried to pull the sword from the stone. But none could.

Arthur, in turn, seized the weapon without the slightest difficulty. It was unbelievable. He was consecrated king.

One day Merlin advised Arthur to gather the best knights. Before them, the magician made a round table and several seats appear. On them was written, in gold, the name of each knight.

The Knights of the Round Table took an oath: they would roam all over the realm rescuing damsels in distress and fighting the wicked.
