Mainly used as a condiment, onion is the basis of all seasonings, combining and offering a special flavor to almost all types of dishes.
However, it can also be used raw in salads and starters and in the preparation of soups, spreads, breads, biscuits, or breaded fries. Roasted onion in the skin, on a skewer, is an excellent accompaniment for barbecue.
Frozen onion is only suitable for use in cooked or baked dishes. To defrost, place it in boiling salted water, or directly on fire, during the preparation of the dish.
