the trap

The night was very pleasant, the way the fox Cassio enjoyed so much.
"Rex is always worried about me" - thought the fox as he walked through the woods.
Cassio sniffed here, there, approached Rex's site when… PLAFT! His paw got caught in a trap.
– Ow! Hey! There! - moaned the fox, struggling. – I can't move anymore!
– I told you so! shouted the dog, appearing from behind a bush. – I was sure you wouldn't listen to me, so I decided to watch!
– Help me get this gun out, please!

Rex was unable to refuse his friend's help. He returned to the site with the trap key in his nose and woke up the owner. Then he barked until the owner followed him to where Cassio was being held.
- Ready! It's free! – announced the owner to the fox, turning the key. – But I don't see him passing through here anymore!
This time Cassio heard it very clearly. Finally the chickens were able to sleep peacefully.
