When I was a child, capoeira was a game. As a teenager, when ___ enrolling in a gym, I realized that being in the circles was the same as preparing for clashes, since, at that time, the activity was almost exclusively male. On several occasions, they wanted to take away my right to be there, but I didn't give in. I started to impose myself and gain space. Capoeira is not exactly a sport: it is a cultural and artistic manifestation that, since the times of slavery, has fought for the freedom of black people.
