Back to School Project for the 1st to the 5th year of Elementary School

Objective:

  • Provide students with the joy of going back to school, awakening in them the desire to study, play and socialize.

Justification:

In view of all the problems faced by the school, more and more teachers and administrators are concerned with the students' self-esteem, as well as their behavior in relation to school actions. The school needs to be a pleasant space, which seeks the student in his essence, so that they have the pleasure of staying at the school and participating in all the didactic proposals presented.

Development

  • Welcome, developing a dynamic presentation;
  • Organize the desks, marking the places of each student;
  • Deliver a welcome card with souvenirs back to school;
  • Create the combined poster with the class;
  • Explain about the care with school material;
  • Talk about the rules of Coexistence;
  • Make name tags with students' names;
  • Telling pleasant stories to children;
  • Practice good morning songs, snack time, guests;
  • Organize a TUR by the school, to recognize the environments;
  • Develop collage, painting and drawing activities;
  • Take each student's level verification test;
  • Organize a Parent-Teacher meeting for general information;

Culmination:

Lecture on behavior and puppet theater.

Back to School Project for the first week of school

Goals:

  • Know the physical space of the school, its facilities and employees;
  • Participate in recreational activities to get to know the spaces and people;
  • Share the moments lived during the holidays with friends and teachers;
  • Express yourself about what you would like to be different this school year;
  • Knowing the school as an environment where everyone has something to offer;
  • Awaken the taste for school and for attending classes;
  • Be aware of new schedules, projects, parties and calendar for the new school year;
  • Reflect on the importance of being responsible and committed, setting goals for the upcoming school year;
  • Outline study objectives and know the importance of separating home study schedules;
  • Watch the lecture, together with those responsible, on the calendar, time and related matters for the new year that is about to start;
  • Know the rights and duties of students, teachers and other school employees.

Monday:

  • Welcome and presentation of the teacher and students.
  • Following an established time, each teacher must take his class to walk around the school, in order to get to know the premises and clear up doubts. There are old students who already know it, but there are new students who will still need to adapt. So this moment is critical.
  • Getting to know the classroom, the teacher and colleagues.

Suggestions:

  • Making student identification badges for Literacy classes;
  • Creation of the rights and duties mural;
  • Writing about vacations, illustration about vacations or, innovating, creating a vacation comic book, with cartoons and illustrated balloons that represent what the student did on vacation;
  • Assessing the Past Year: How were you as a student last year? What changes would you like to make for the coming year? What do you think needs to change?
  • Group dynamics for socialization, rapport, etc.
  • Presentation of schedules for the year to come, calendar of parties, projects, meetings, requirements for exams, uniforms, etc.

Diverse activities:

  • Modeling with plasticine;
  • Plug-in games;
  • Construction with wooden blocks;
  • Free drawing with crayons;
  • Toy box;
  • Doll's house, construction of the first page of the notebook of communications, receipt of materials with notes, music with interpretation (this year I want peace in my heart… I want greater love, greater love than me… etc), Making a back-to-school mural, decorating the classroom for the new school year, etc.

Note: The teacher can initiate class probing tasks, such as: writing the name, creating text from a picture, creating sentences, dictating letters, moving letters to assemble words, etc.

  • Learning routine songs.
    Assessment of the day and preparation for departure.
  • Take the note advising those responsible about the meeting the next day.
  • Children's Ed. classes will take home the souvenirs made by the teacher (can be made together with the class on this first day) can be a visor, a souvenir pencil, bookmark, pencil holder, tie etc.

Tuesday:

  • Welcome and presentation of the teacher and students.
  • Meeting with those responsible and interview to fill in the Early Childhood Education interview form.
  • Getting to know the school: the bathroom, the cafeteria and the direction. Those responsible can walk around the school and get to know its facilities, together with the coordinators.
  • Organization of notebooks for the new year! Shall we paste the cover of each notebook? Illustrate, color, etc.
  • Starting math probing through concrete calculations using objects and subsequent annotations. For older groups, start with calculations and problematic situations.
  • Music of the day, group dynamics, playful games;
  •  Assessment of the day and preparation for departure

Wednesday:

  • Initial routine activities: Rodinha – Good morning; observation of the weather; Calendar; Prayer; Calling; Time of Novelty; day planning
  • Hat joke for fixing the students' names.
  • From a scale, all the groups will watch a video and later will make an illustration or writing about it. Suggestion: Red Carpet ( A father of the
  • interior dreams of taking his child to the cinema and to make his dream come true, he will go through many adventures. It can be cartoon depending on the age group)
  • Talk about the school, its facilities and functions.
  •  Getting to know the school: the courtyard, the playground and the games room.
  •  Reading Wheel: The Class at School.
  • Continuation of the initial survey with notes for class evaluation;
  • Making the back-to-school mural;
  • Researching about Carnival, making posters;
  • Diversified activities: Plasticine modeling; Plug-in games; Construction with wooden blocks; Free drawing with crayons; Toy box;
  • Doll's house.
  • Assessment of the day and preparation for departure.

Thursday:

  • Initial routine activities: Rodinha – Good morning; observation of the weather; Calendar; Prayer; Calling; Time of Novelty; Planning the day.
  • Reading Wheel: The School of Marcelo.
  • Visit to the School's premises.
  • Festive snack or picnic organized by group;
  • Physical Education or recreation for all classes;
  • Exhibition of materials created about back to school, including comic books, which will be displayed;
  • Dynamics, games, review activities, probing, fixing;
  • Conversation about the visit to the School, about the employees…
  • music: my school
  • Diversified activities: School drawing with crayons; Modeling; Plug-in games; Construction with wooden blocks…
  • Assessment of the day and preparation for departure.

Friday:

  • Initial routine activities: Rodinha – Good morning; observation of the weather; Calendar; Prayer; Calling; Time of Novelty; Planning the day.
  • Reading Wheel: Poetry My School.
  • Working the word SCHOOL (identification and initial letter).
  • Working the letters of the alphabet;
  • Making alphabet posters for the living room;
  • Creating texts;
  • Start of Home activities;
  • Characterization of a samba school (assembling a band, carnival block, masks, costumes and parade)
  • Painting with crayons on the School relief and gluing the windows.

  • Diversified activities: School drawing with crayons; Modeling; Plug-in games; Construction with wooden blocks.
