Talking about the environment is not just talking about trees, plants, animals, air and water pollution… Talking about the environment is also talking about children and their behavior.
Have you ever stopped to think that we are role models for them? Especially if you have a child at home, you become a mirror. If it was just the lipstick, which the girl, since an early age, rehearses using, or the tie and shoes, which the boy insists on taking borrowed, fine – these are healthy habits that reveal that you are a role model for the being who is under your care.
But what about unhealthy habits? Do you, as a parent or guardian, always obey the red light, the speed set for the street? Do you give in your turn? Do you separate waste at home, recyclable from non-recyclable? Have you replaced traditional light bulbs with fluorescent or LED-type bulbs and explain this gesture to your child?
Know that every little gesture of yours will not go unnoticed by her. The little ones even correct us or call our attention!
