NAME:
IN THE JUNGLE AN ELEPHANT LIVED OUT EVERY DAY IN SEARCH OF A FRIEND TO TALK TO.
ONE MORNING HE FOUND THE LION AND ASKED:
– DO YOU WANT TO BE MY FRIEND?
AND THE LION ANSWERED:
– YOU'RE VERY SLOW AND CAN'T RUN WITH ME. THE MOST YOU CAN DO IS HUNTING A MOUSE. ALSO, WHAT WOULD THE ANIMALS SAY WHEN SEEING THE KING OF THE JUNGLE ACCOMPANIED WITH AN ELEPHANT?
THE ELEPHANT, VERY SAD, WALKED ON. SUDDENLY HE SAW A MONKEY HANGING FROM A BRANCH, LEAPING FROM TREE TO TREE.
– GOOD MORNING YOU MONKEY! DO YOU WANT TO BE MY FRIEND?
– HOW COULD I BE YOUR FRIEND? YOU CANNOT HANGING ON TREES OR JUMPING AS I DO! - REPLICATED THE MONKEY.
WITH GREAT SADNESS THE ELEPHANT WAS ASKED: “WHY AM I SO BIG AND SLOW? NO ONE WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND…”.
FOLLOWED HIS WAY UNTIL SUDDENLY, HE HEARD SOME SCREAMS.
- HELP! HELP-ME! PLEASE, LORD, DON'T TREAD ON ME!
THE FEARED ELEPHANT LOOKED EVERYWHERE, BUT COULDN'T SEE ANYONE.
WHAT WAS HIS SURPRISE TO SEE, TAKEN UNDER HIS PAW, AN ANT WATCHING HIM AND BEGGING:
-PLEASE DON'T DO ANYTHING TO ME!
THE ELEPHANT, SEEING THE ANT SO FEARED, WAS PICKED UP, LIFTED IT WITH HIS TRUNK AND LEFT IT ON A BRANCH.
THE LITTLE ANT, VERY GLAD, TOLD HIM:
– HOW COOL IT WOULD BE TO HAVE A FRIEND LIKE YOU! YOU ARE SO STRONG… I DON'T THINK NO ONE IS AFRAID BEING BY YOUR SIDE.
THE ELEPHANT WAS VERY HAPPY. FINALLY HE HAD FOUND SOMEONE WHO ACCEPTED HIM AS HE WAS.
