Read this excerpt from the novel:
written by Nicholas Sparks:
When I think about you and me and what we share, I know that it would be easy for others to look down on the time we spent together simply as a by-product of the days and nights by the sea, an “adventure” that, in the long run, does not mean absolutely. That's why I don't tell people about us. They wouldn't understand, and I don't feel the need to explain, simply because I know in my heart how real it was. When I think of you, I can't help but smile, knowing you complete me. I love you, not just now, but always, and I dream of the day you'll hold me again.
