It's a film in which history uses architecture to make it happen. The plot tells the story of Cobb, a thief who manages to extract secrets through dream spying techniques. For the spied to feel comfortable revealing the desired information, it is necessary that the dream scenario conforms to reality – and that is where the figure of the architect enters.

Ariadne, Ellen Page's character, is an architecture student who is asked to compose the architecture of dreams planned by Cobb. The film is fascinating mainly because architecture can be done freely – since it's a dream, you don't have to worry about rules or laws of physics.
