O Indian's day is celebrated annually on the day April 19th and to work this date in the classroom we selected some suggestions and tips for your Indian Day Lesson Plan.
This important date serves to remember and reinforce the identity of the Brazilian and American indigenous people in current history and culture.
April 19 was chosen as the date to commemorate indigenous culture in honor of the First Inter-American Indigenous Congress, which took place on April 19, 1940. The objective of this congress was to bring together indigenous leaders from different regions of the American continent and ensure their rights.
During this date, schools and other educational institutions encourage and propose various activities and playful games to work on this theme. And it was with this in mind that we selected these models ready for your Indian Day Lesson Plan, check out:

NOTE: not interfere in the children's responses, just manage any conflicts. Write down all the children's impressions of the indigenous culture on a cardboard and place them in a visible place.

Like this Indigenous Day Class Plan for maternal We will work with the following areas of knowledge: Oral/Sound/Musical Language, Plastic Language, Nature and Society and address the following contents: Fine/gross motor coordination; sounds, body expression, indigenous culture and colors.
The highlighted theme “O Índio”, aims to promote the development of a critical conscience in students, aware of their role as subjects and objects of History.
The proposal of the project is to spread traditional dances and games of the indigenous people, presenting, in addition to the cultural richness, the tradition of the tribe present in the music.
In this way, the teacher's role is the mediator, starting from the child and provoking new discoveries and productions. Working with projects implies teaching in a different way, taking into account how the children learn and the best way to provide them with different types of interactions/experiences.
