A couple had breakfast on the day of their golden wedding. The woman buttered the bread crust and gave it to her husband, keeping the crumb.
She thought: “I've always wanted to eat what I like most about bread: the crumb. As I love my husband so much and he likes him, during these 50 years, I always gave him the heart. But today I want to satisfy my desire to eat the crumb”.
When the husband received the crust of bread and butter, his face broke into a huge smile and then he said:
– Thank you very much for this gift, my love. For 50 years I've always wanted to eat the crust of bread, but since you loved it so much, I never dared to ask!
