With beautiful and colorful illustrations, “Stories of the Swan” brings together twelve narratives by one of the greatest authors of children's literature. In writing “The Ugly Duckling”, the Dane Hans Christian Andersen is said to have been inspired by the story of his own life: as a child, he was too tall and a little awkward. The book brings “The Little Lead Soldier” – the first story that Andersen published –, “The flying ark”, “The piggy safe”, “Bons de jumping”, “A case of love", "The collar", "The darning needle", "Sadness", "The shepherdess and the chimney sweep", "The grocer's elf", "The snowman" and "The pine tree”.
