The 12 Thai teenagers, members of the Wild Boar soccer team, were invited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to attend, along with their families, the Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, between the 6th and 18th of October.
After the accident that trapped the team in a cave in June of this year, they have received many honors from the sporting world since then. Among them, one made by FIFA, on September 24, during the awards event The Best, held in London, England.
In addition to taking part in the opening ceremony of the Games, the boys will play a friendly soccer match against other athletes and will stay at the Olympic Village.
