Women's Day Project for Early Childhood Education
Since 1975, March 8 has been commemorated by the United Nations as International Women's Day in honor of all women. textile workers from a factory in New York went on strike, occupying the factory, to demand a reduction in the working day from 16 hours a day to 10 hours.
These women received less than a third of the men's wages, were locked up in the factory, set fire to it, killing about 130 women. Thus, on this day, throughout the world, women's day of reflection and struggle for their rights is celebrated.
The woman, with her constant struggle, was rescuing her rights and occupying her place in society, standing out in politics, sports, justice and others, assuming more and more her social independence.
