Carnival Class Plan for Early Childhood Education

Justification:

  • Carnival is a typical party and expected by many for the festivities, Brazil is a rich country in its culture, music, dance, a happy country that allows us to bring to the school a wealth of diversity.
  • As carnival in Brazil is a cultural issue, we will use this date to explore the typical dances of the Brazilian regions and also its cuisine.
  • We will also use this date to make children aware of the dangers of drugs, such as cigarettes, alcohol and other addictions.

Main goal:

  • Bring Brazilian culture to the school environment.

Specific objective:

  • Working the themes through playfulness, using music and dance;
  • Explore creativity using recyclable materials;
  • Awaken children's participation through their imagination, their creativity, their freedom to climb their interaction and relaxation, stimulating their teaching-learning process.
  • Develop your oral and written language and your logical, physical and motor reasoning.

Contents:

Encompassing educational aspects such as drugs and recycling

  • Art: with recyclable materials;
  • Portuguese: Oral and/or written language Working with children's stories, parlendas and songs;
  • Math: Working with numbers and geometric shapes;
  • Geography: Knowing the music, dances and typical foods of Brazilian regions;
  • Sciences: the transformation of color mixtures;
  • PE: Developing motor skills with typical music and games of the time;

Assessment:

The evaluation will be continued taking into account the evolution, participation, attention and involvement with the theme activities;

Suggestion of Activities to be developed:

  • know how carnival originated, what its roots are;
  • working typical and parlendas stories;
  • painting on paper and costume making activities;
  • making of masks;

Tips:

  • During this period of execution of the project, make presentations and parades with the children of the activities worked every day. Make a parade of masks for the whole school, a parade of newspaper costumes, a parade of dolls' costumes, presentation of typical dances such as frevo, samba, bumba meu boi.
  • Display the arts, paintings and cutouts. If you prefer, give the classroom or class a region to be explored, and make a parade with wings separated by state.
  • Use creativity, carnival is culture, it's party and fun time for children, so let's learn by playing!

From an early age, children learn a lot about the world, asking questions and listening to facts and stories of your family, friends even watching TV, videos and or frolicking and enjoying magazines and newspapers. They also experience and interact in a context of: concepts, tastes and customs, forming their ideas and knowledge about the world around them.
Through this thought, the theme “The Carnival” will be worked out in an integrated manner, meeting the interests of children, respecting their needs, curiosities and ideas.

Main goal:

Through this project, take the child to:

  • Taking an interest in and showing curiosity for the social world, asking questions, imagining solutions to understands it by expressing its own opinions about the events, seeking information and confronting ideas.

Specific objectives:

  • Recognize the Brazilian Carnival as the biggest party in the world;
  • Know the history of carnival in Brazil and its characteristics;
  • Collect data about carnival in Brazil;
  • Make children aware that it is necessary not to confuse fun with confusion;
  • Develop a taste for reading;
  • Working on reasoning and memory;
  • Develop oral and written language;
  • Develop a taste for poems and songs;
  • Develop perception and motor coordination;
  • Stimulate the rhythm;
  • Awaken and educate attention and observation;
  • Provide freedom of self-expression;
  • Enable hands-on skills; develop the creative spirit;
  • Establish relationships of quantity/color, total quantity and shapes;
  • Work with numbering sequence;
  • Develop the usual perception of the number;

Carnival Class Plan for Early Childhood Education

Considering the carnival as a contributing phenomenon to the formation of Brazilian culture and taking into account its importance as a symbol of national identity, this project seeks to to develop work methodologies aimed at an interdisciplinary analysis of the carnival, promoting new knowledge possibilities for educators and students in an innovative and educational.

O Early Childhood Education and Elementary School Carnival Project focuses on working the interdisciplinary nature of carnival from a perspective of knowledge reconstruction, allied to technological resources, as a fundamental tool for the socialization of knowledge, disseminating information and cultures and, above all, not just transmitting, but reconstructing knowledge through interdisciplinarity.

Working carnival in an interdisciplinary way involves the contextualization of knowledge, evoking personal, social and cultural facts, especially work and citizenship.

This project aims to go beyond the simple juxtaposition of disciplines, with the participation of educators and students so that both can interact in pursuit of common goals.

MAIN GOAL

Develop the theme of carnival in an interdisciplinary and innovative way, combined with technological resources, involving educators and students, providing a new vision of carnival from different perspectives.

Provide students to build relationships between new content and knowledge that already have, achieving learning that allows the interference in a new reality, triggering new actions.
