1) If in the thirteen years prior to the Plano Real we were used to having surpluses or selling more than buying abroad, from 1995 onwards the situation was reversed. Like a seesaw, imports that were at the bottom have gone up, far surpassing exports. The explanation for the phenomenon described is as follows.
