SCHOOL: DATE:

PROF: CLASS:

NAME:

Fire

Two lanterns, on a winter night, were talking. The oldest decided to tell a very important story. And it started like this:

– The Fire element built the Universe!…

The youngest lantern, amazed, said:

– Tell how it happened.

And the old lamp answered:

– It started with the very hot stars.

The Sun is the star that is closest to Earth.

– The Earth, in the beginning, was a hot ball! Then it cooled down, but it remained warm inside. The Fire element leaves the Earth through the erupting volcanoes from time to time.

The young lamp was curious and asked:

– And why are we here?

The old man replied:

– We are here because we are needed. Humans need us to light the way and warm the cold night.

And the old lamp ended, saying:

– Fire is very powerful. We can build stars, but we can also destroy forests. That's why we're inside these lanterns, where we can only light up the dark night.
