NAME:

the rabbit and the turtle

Once upon a time there was a rabbit that lived in the forest. He was known for being agile and winning every race with the other animals. One day, he challenged the turtle, which is a slow animal by nature. He knew he was faster and wanted to make the turtle feel small. The turtle was very calm and wise. She accepted the challenge silently and confidently. The race has started. The turtle moved very slowly and the rabbit ran ahead very quickly.

The rabbit was so confident of his victory that he sat under a tree and decided to rest for a while. He fell asleep. So deep was his sleep that he didn't even notice when the turtle slowly overtook him. Suddenly, the rabbit woke up with a jump and started running again. But it was too late. The turtle was already close to the finish line. Before the rabbit could do anything, the turtle crossed the finish line and won first.
