NAME:
They say that a certain farmer had a donkey that had made him fat by rest and an ox that had been slaughtered by work.
One day, the ox complained to the donkey and asked him: "Will you not, brother, have any advice to save me from this hard toil?" The donkey replied: “Be sick and don't eat your ration. Seeing you like this, our master will not take you to till the field and you will rest”.
It is said that the farmer understood the language of animals, and understood the dialogue between the donkey and the ox.
The next morning he saw that the ox had not eaten its ration: he left it and took the donkey in its place. The donkey was forced to pull the plow all day, and almost died of fatigue. And he regretted the advice he had given the ox.
When he returned at night, the ox asked him: "How are you, dear brother?" I'm doing very well, replied the donkey. But I heard something that made me shiver because of you. I heard our master say: “If the ox is still sick, we should kill it so that we don't lose its flesh. My opinion is that you eat your ration and go back to your task in order to avoid such a misfortune”.
The ox agreed, and immediately devoured his entire ration.
The farmer was listening, and he laughed.
