NAME:
For all the tasks we do we need some kind of energy.
The energy we use to move our bodies comes from the food we eat.
The first form of energy that man discovered was the fire he used to heat, cook, light, etc. Initially, to feed the fire, the man used firewood, which was later replaced by coal. This change was fundamental, as firewood comes from trees, while coal, as the name implies, is a mineral.
Over time, the man realized that by heating the water, he could obtain steam. For some time it was used to move various types of machines, such as locomotives.
After several researches it was discovered that oil is used as an energy source until today. From oil man takes gasoline, diesel, etc…, these products are used to move cars and other machines. However, the use of these fuels generates toxic substances that pollute the air, soil and water, causing damage to health and the environment.
In the 20th century, man started to extract energy from water, through hydroelectric plants, using the movement of water to produce electricity. It is this energy that we use in our electrical appliances.
