The twin zebras Zig and Zag aren't talking as much as they usually do. Each of them is missing the first baby tooth. They get so busy wiggling their loose teeth that they don't have much time to talk. After sitting for a while on the sofa in the living room, still busy rocking, Zig finally decides to speak:
“I was wondering if mine will fall out before bedtime tonight, so I can put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy to take it and leave me a present. - And she rocks him again.
