In this post, we selected several suggestions and ideas for your Brazil School Independence Activity. Excellent educational resources for working in the classroom or as a homework assignment with students from initial series.
In September 7, 1822, was proclaimed the independence of Brazil. This day celebrates the Brazilian emancipation of the kingdom of Portugal.
D. Pedro was acclaimed the first emperor of Brazil, with the title of D. Pedro I, being crowned on December 1st of the same year.

Independence of Brazil Activity
The activity is best suited for children up to seven years old. They may not learn the entire anthem, but they will enjoy trying to sing at least some parts and get into school training to celebrate the date. Children under five don't understand much anymore, but you can tell about the hymn sung before each football game, at parties and that it is important for them to know because it tells a little of the history of where they live. It doesn't cover too much, but it can show the song that many will recognize, especially from sports competitions.
A fun activity is painting the flag of Brazil. Separate inks, paper, pens and colored pencils. Also use other materials, such as colored paper sheets, different textures for drawing and even glitter to make everything shiny and beautiful. You can participate by drawing and teaching your child how to make the Brazilian flag. Show every part and every detail to your little one! The important thing is to offer possibilities for him to create and unleash his imagination. And don't worry, getting dirty is very good!
Every child loves to learn new things. So, the second game proposal for Brazil's Independence Day is to fold a soldier's hat. Too easy. First, set aside a sheet of plain paper such as bond or another material such as newspaper. The bigger the leaf, the bigger the hat! Now, follow the steps in the video to learn how to make a soldier's hat:
With the hat ready, it's time to make art! Use the paints, pens and all the material used in the other activity to decorate the hat. Abuse your imagination and encourage your puppy to create. Also take the opportunity to teach your child the traditional song of the soldier's march, do you remember? Soldier march, paper head. Anyone who doesn't march right will go to the barracks. The barracks caught fire, the police gave the signal. Acode, acode, acode the national flag.
Of course you can't keep kids watching an entire movie, but there are educational cartoons with characters like Turma da Mônica, Castelo Rá Tim Bum and others who have already talked about the theme and you can make a short film about the theme. Educators can also come up with a story and record to teach students about the date to show on video instead of live theater. They will love the game!
For the making of this Independence of Brazil Activity We will need the following materials: Colored pencils, A4 paper, Stereo system containing the national anthem.
