NAME:
THE MOON IS THE NATURAL SATELLITE OF THE EARTH WHICH, UNLIKE THE SUN, DOES NOT HAVE LIGHT OF ITS OWN LIGHT. THE LIGHT WE SEE COMES FROM THE SUN, THE MOON RECEIVES THE SUNLIGHT AND REFLECTS IT.
THAT LIGHT THAT THE MOON RECEIVES IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE EARTH ENTERS IN FRONT OF THE SUN AND THIS CHANGES THE AMOUNT OF LIGHT THAT THE MOON RECEIVES. THESE CHANGES IN THE LIGHT THAT THE MOON REFLECTS ARE CALLED MOON PHASES, EACH PHASE LASTS APPROXIMATELY 7 DAYS. THE MOON GOES THROUGH 4 PHASES: FULL MOON, NEW MOON, CRESCENT ROOM AND WAIN ROOM. TO COMPLETE THIS CYCLE TAKES APPROXIMATELY 28 DAYS.
