It is when you pay attention to the qualities of the place you are going to visit. For example, when researching a new destination, a conscientious tourist pays attention to the qualities of the place and local traditions. If you go to a beach, you know that you cannot litter or remove shells and stones from the sand, as this can compromise the balance of the environment. It also doesn't pull out pieces of coral that reach the sand, because they've already learned, before going, that other corals count on their return as soon as the tide rises. Respect for the environment is also good for trails and walks in the forest. Collecting the garbage found on the way to preserve the ecosystem is touristic awareness. The animals that live in the forest are grateful!
