In the morning, nothing was going well on Leopoldo's farm. All around, only moans and complaints were heard:
- I am cold! - Complained a rabbit in its hole.
– Can I lie with you, Mom? asked the youngest lamb.
In the stable, the cow Rosinha had an idea:
– This cold is unbearable! – she told her friends – And this biting wind makes us moody. I propose the following: as we cannot stay inside the house, we are going to take refuge in the shed, near the corn plantation. Pascoalina, Josefa and Matilde, are you ready? Let's find the other animals and get them there.
– Great, Rosie! – replied her friends in chorus. – We'll call the sheep, the horses and the rabbits! See you soon!
Turkeys, pigs, chickens and other animals found themselves trembling in the shed.
“Now that we're all here,” Rosinha announced, “let's curl up like a snail! Let me explain: the smaller ones are in the middle, and the larger ones are around to protect them from the cold.
What a beautiful dance! All the animals followed Rosinha's instructions and hugged each other tightly. Soon, the good mood returned.
– I'm really warm now! – said the bunny. – You had a great idea, Rosinha!
- It is true! – added an elegant guinea hen. – After all, we're all together!
