All over the village yesterday, hard green tomatoes fell from the sky.
Some have reached the top of the roofs – Plaft! – and slipped to the ground. Some have fallen – Plaf! – on the sidewalks. One hit – Poin! – on the town hall clock.
Another fell jumping - Toin! Toin! Toin! – down the main street, scaring the residents who walked there. And a Poft! – hit Mr. Horse on the head. The damage done to his hair was incalculable.
