45-year-old American cyclist Denise Mueller-Korenek broke the speed record on a bicycle by hitting 296 kilometers per hour on 17 September. She trained for six years to hit the mark.
Denise's feat took place in the desert of Boneville, Utah, United States, and had the help of a super-fast car, called a dragster. The vehicle was used to propel the bicycle to record speed.
So far, the best result belonged to the Dutchman Fred Rompelberg, with 269 km/h, speed also reached in the Boneville desert, 23 years ago.
The American, who already owned the title of fastest woman in the world on a bicycle since 2016, is now the human being with the best mark in the challenge.
