The US space agency (NASA) released images taken by telescopes and astronauts on the International Space Station in honor of Earth Day, celebrated on April 22nd.
The date was created in 1992 by the United Nations (UN) to draw people's attention to the preservation of the environment.
The objective is to show the beauty of the planet. On social networks, the agency compared the photographs with works of art. “Swirls that look like watercolors. Sediment layers that blend with an oil paint paint. Shapes carved from erosion like clay. Our satellites capture inspiring images of the Earth daily to help us learn about our planet,” he wrote NASA.
