It is common to hear, in the kitchen, the “singing” of the pressure cooker… Would you know how to say, however, how does such a noisy object act, to the point of leaving the beans so soft and tasty? When cooking food with water, the higher the temperature, the shorter the cooking time, until it reaches the boiling point, when the water evaporates (at sea level, this occurs at 100°C). This value varies, however, according to the pressure exerted. In the pan, the rubber of the lid guarantees total sealing and prevents the steam from escaping. The internal pressure increases with fire heating and there is no evaporation at 100°C, but at much higher temperatures. This allows the food to cook quickly. So, got it, Master Cuca?
