Professions Lesson Plan
Considering the policy of complementary education that values cross-cutting themes, the theme Professions seeks to propose discussions that value the different types of work as a form of cultural expression. With these assumptions to be studied, the child will get to know the profile of the professional in the current job market, the diversities of professions and their contributions to society, favoring the construction of personal identity with new perspectives and life projects.
LET'S SING:
Pass, pass hawk
Everyone is good!
the seamstress does like this
The seamstress does this,
So, so, so, so!
Pass, pass hawk
Everyone is good!
the driver does like this
The driver does this,
So, so, so, so!
Pass, pass hawk
Everyone is good!
the teacher does like this
The teacher does this,
So, so, so, so!
(doctor/pilot/dentist/etc.)
Sitting in a circle, motivate students to play. The teacher says: “I'm thinking of someone who bakes bread”. Students try to guess and say the name of the profession. When someone gets it right, the teacher must write the name of the profession on the board, in capital letters. The game continues, with the next student on the wheel.
From a very early age, children have a great interest in adult life, and that is how professions often appear in their make-believe games. While the children play, they elaborate and re-elaborate the professions, putting in the place of the parents or the teacher. Due to this interest, this unit of CEI PVL is dedicated to the study of professions and their importance to our society.
Exploring this theme within the school environment was very important because it makes it possible to expand students' knowledge regarding various professions and also collaborate so that everyone develops attitudes of respect and cooperation with people in their different functions.

1st STAGE
Make a round of conversation and ask about the trades that the kids know about. Make a poster with a list of those mentioned, leaving space to complement the information throughout the project. In another class, introduce the class to the trunk, take the objects out of it, and let the children relate them to the occupations listed above. At another time, show a sign with the word photographer, for example, ask everyone to try to read it and challenge them to search the collection for the tool they use to carry out the activity.
2nd STAGE
Help the class design a questionnaire to be administered to family members about what they do and the details of each activity. Book three or four meetings to research fairy tales, newspapers, magazines and works of art (Cândido Portinari and Tarsila do Amaral painted several rural and urban workers), to identify the occupations that appear in these productions. Organize a record panel with collective texts.
3rd STAGE
Start preparing the parade. Everyone must observe the images available in the researched material and make observation drawings. They will serve as a reference when making the clothes. Invite parents to participate in fantasy workshops. Days before the presentation, propose an explanation for each activity.
