Jovelino himself, who had entered years, was now a shaken and well-disposed old man, who had more to do than take care of prospecting. But one day he couldn't resist: he ran his hand over his hoe, and without warning anyone, his eyes shining with hope, he set off in search of the impossible, the unreal, the non-existent diamond of his dream.
