Throughout the year, Brasília is decorated with flowers and fruits of the most diverse species. Raimundo Silva, head of Parks and Gardens at Novacap, says that the capital has the privilege of being a flower garden in all seasons.
And not just the flowers that bring beauty to the city. The population can have access, for free, to various fruits that are available throughout the year.
During the summer, jackfruit and mango overcrowd the trees and fill the table of Brasilienses. But it wasn't always like that, Raimundo Silva says that, in the beginning of the city, there was nothing. It was a great desert.
