Read:
A wandering mouse once arrived in a faraway village. He was surprised not to find a single mouse in that place. Deserted streets, a lugubrious and menacing silence… The mouse began to feel fear. He sensed that a mysterious danger lurked there.
After much searching, he found another mouse, huddled in a corner.
"Why can't I find other rats in this village, friend?"
The other looked at him and replied:
“I see you don't know this village belongs to cats. A mouse that is caught is a mouse that goes into the casserole. They guard all food stores with a double guard, day and night. I myself am almost starving.
The mouse grunted in amazement. So would have great adventures, huh?
— Well, I'm going to enter the first warehouse that comes my way, buddy! If you doubt it, come with me and see! promised our hero solemnly.
Near the chosen warehouse, the mouse made a mechanical mouse and released it in the direction where four cats were guarding and waited. As soon as they saw the toy mouse, the cats pounced on it to tear it apart. They even left a few teeth embedded in the metal object before withdrawing in disillusionment.
Then the mouse, pretending to be a little robot himself, approached the warehouse door. The cats still hadn't recovered and didn't want to be victims of another prank and let the mouse pass.
Once inside the warehouse, he ate his fill. I don't think he left a single piece for his incredulous friend.
