Some people think that science is synonymous with difficult things, that all scientists are geniuses, and therefore, dedicating yourself to science is something that should give you a real headache. Well, well... Those who say this hardly know that science is, in the first place, observation. That's right! Every scientist needs a willingness to observe and understand, in the smallest detail, what caught his attention.
A little bird, for example, can be just a little bird for many people, but the researcher wants to know where this little bird lives, what does it eat, how does it get food, how does it sleep, what it is afraid of and very, very most. This is exactly how, in the past, Natural History began to organize itself.
Some people dedicated themselves to researching animals and plants in detail, trying to understand the relationships between them and with the environment in which they were. These scientists were called naturalists and their daily lives included writing down and drawing everything they observed, that is, making records.
Natural History, over time, gave rise to the areas we know today as Ecology, Evolution and others. However, it remains current and necessary to better understand nature. Did you like to know that? […]
